Been nice in East Texas till this week's cold spell started. We are supposed to get snow and ice starting Thursday into Friday, so we'll see how that goes. Wel'll ride today and tomorrow then give them time off if we get ice and snow.

My colt finally made that step backing circles today. He melted back and around for the first time like Richard talked about late in the ES sniffle bit basics video series. We didn't get to everything today, but It seemed like a good place to quit on the try.

Richard Boatwright I like what I'm seeing and feeling from him. He's so much more relaxed when trotting which has improved his steering and speed control. Also seeing improvement when he decides to go into a lope but after a few strides he stiffens up. I figure that'll get better with time so I'm not making a big deal out of it.

Hi Richard, thanks for your help. After two rides I've seen big improvement with my 3 year old. He was figuring it out during the first ride. Just one tap on the rump at the beginning of the second and he finished out that ride doing really well. Trotting circles like he should he was trying hard. I know this hole isn't filled yet but it's good to see progress. Plus we have another tool that works for him.

Hello Mr. Boatwright,

I joined your membership a couple months ago. I've been applying what you teach in your videos. I'm noticing my horses are more relaxed and receptive over all. They weren't bad before it's just that little difference.

I do have a couple questions for you. My 3 year old is the type of horse that sometimes doesn't stay in front of your legs like you talk about, and he's getting worse. He's not lazy his speed control at a walk and trot isn't bad, but still needs work. When I go into a circle at a trot to bring him back to me or put him back because he drift off he goes about a quarter into the circle and stops trotting then won’t get back into the trot till I go straight again. I cluck and squeeze him he just won’t trot. Not sure what I did to create this issue. Do you have a video or any recommendations to help fix this issue. I can do very large circles but need to peddle him a lot to keep him going. Sometimes It feels like he's really board.

Also, I was wondering if you do clinics?

Thank you for your time.

Phil
