I agree with Stephen those two series are full of knowledge. Great place to start.

My wife swears by her heated jacket. Layering up seems to work for me, but I do struggle with keeping my toes worm at times. Probably need to find some insulated boots.

I have to say I really like using neck ropes. Not sure why more people don't use them.

Lucas G Truax We are between Henderson and Kilgore so not that far from your area.

Been nice in East Texas till this week's cold spell started. We are supposed to get snow and ice starting Thursday into Friday, so we'll see how that goes. Wel'll ride today and tomorrow then give them time off if we get ice and snow.

My colt finally made that step backing circles today. He melted back and around for the first time like Richard talked about late in the ES sniffle bit basics video series. We didn't get to everything today, but It seemed like a good place to quit on the try.

Richard Boatwright I like what I'm seeing and feeling from him. He's so much more relaxed when trotting which has improved his steering and speed control. Also seeing improvement when he decides to go into a lope but after a few strides he stiffens up. I figure that'll get better with time so I'm not making a big deal out of it.

Hi Richard, thanks for your help. After two rides I've seen big improvement with my 3 year old. He was figuring it out during the first ride. Just one tap on the rump at the beginning of the second and he finished out that ride doing really well. Trotting circles like he should he was trying hard. I know this hole isn't filled yet but it's good to see progress. Plus we have another tool that works for him.
