I have a 12 yr horse I bought six months ago. He is definitely a work in progress. I went to put him in a different horse trailer (not a stock trailer) and he freaked out when I went to close the divider. He backed right out and had the fear of death in his eyes. I got him to calm down and started the process again, heā€™ll get in, but once I start to move the divider same thing happened. He has no issues in a stock trailer so I assume it has something to do with claustrophobiaā€¦?! Ā Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Iā€™ll keep on trying. Thanks for all you do Richard~ Zak

Hi Richard,

I bought a 12 hr old quarter horse in Nov ā€˜22. The more my daughter and I have been around him the more bad habits he seems to exhibit. He bit my daughterā€™s hand when she was tying him up, and then reared up breaking his halter after being tied to the trailer. Iā€™m new to this, but was wondering if I should start all over again with lounging as you did with Elvis (desensitizing him with the flag). The previous owner said he was ā€œbrokeā€. What is the best way to build trust with him? Just looking for solutions so my daughter and I can have a great horse. Thank you for your videos and expertise and look forward to learning more. ~Zak

I bought an 11 year old quarter horse who has an issue with backing up. We bought him as a rope prospect but he needs to be able to back up and he rears up if you try to back him up a few steps. I can get him to back up 2 or 3 steps anything after that heā€™s in the air or throwing his head. Iā€™m open for any suggestions. Iā€™m planning on working with him but Iā€™m looking for some advice. Thanks
