Jessica Shockey. I think we could create a series for every issue!😂.   I don't think you have an issue, though.  If you have his attention, there's no need to pressure him for it, so just go ahead and get to work.  He does need to understand what is expected of him concerning forward motion, though.  Once you have him thinking, start asking him to move out for longer and longer periods of time until he will stay at a trot for a couple of trips around the pen.  You might have to be a little insistent, but just make sure you get what you want before releasing the pressure.   Good luck!

Ashley Land I know it seems daunting, but you just have to stick with the program.  Eventually, he will settle in.  I've had it take several (10+) days before seeing results.  Often times, it will get worse before it gets better.  Let us know how it goes.🙂. Richard

Stephen Gowling I put that bit on Luna because she was letting the D-ring snaffle pull into her mouth.  I won't use one for long, but it's a good option for the mouthy ones😉

Christopher Frausto  there is a good way to tie off to help the horse to stand still.   I'll try to get you a video of it this week.
