Mr. Boatwright - I usually don't lope him much warming up, mostly trot for a couple minutes each both directions. He has gotten serious about it the last few times (he'll keep going till I get him turned around or moving out of it) but then settles in after it. He never bucked out west. I will start loping him to make sure he's warmed up. Thank you!
