Great! Thank you. I'm mostly wondering what my first steps should be after we get him home. It's a pretty long trip so I figured a few days or more to let him settle in to the new environment, get familiar with my other horses he will be in a large pen next to one of our more tolerant passive mares. As far as I know he's not halter broke yet. So should I halter him with a short lead rope and let him be in his run and stall it opens into? It's a safe place nothing he can get caught up on. Never started from scratch like this before. All my other horses were bought finished or nearly finished.Â
Is this the right place to ask a question? Just signed up this morning. Picking up a yearling Friday that's pretty much unhandled and I could use some real advice on a few things.Â
