Stephen Gowling I'd just flick the flag to get here attention.  The will usually do the trick after a few times.  Let us know how it goes.

Phil Mandelbaum. That's great news!  Thaks for keeping us up to date.  Have a merry Christmas!

That's great to hear!

Phil Mandelbaum Hi Phil, I'm glad to hear that you are having some success with the program!  Generally, horses get behind our legs because they are getting dull to leg pressure. The best way to fix it is to spank them a little to back up your cues.  It shouldn't take much. Next time you ride carry something to pop him with and only ask him to go once and then follow it up with a pop on the rump.  If he slows down in the circles, pop him on the rump.  The more you squeeze and cluck, the slower he'll get.  Make sense?

Stephen Gowling I don't see a problem with starting your horse in a hackamore.  I will do that from time to time when I have one with similar issues.  I would just use a neck rope the same way as I do with the snaffle bit and run the loose end through the bosal.  It will work similarly.  As far as roping goes, I need to dig out some old stuff for you. I'll send you a message on here when I find them.  🤠
