Greg Holm What gate is she kicking at?  The lope or just walking?  Sounds like she needs to trot a few miles.  Can you send a video?  Richard

Jordan Lancaster I just had another thought.  Have you tried teaching her a verbal cue from the ground so that you can use it from her back?  It might help.

Lucas Truax. I should've read your comment first!😂. Spot on.

Jordan Lancaster Ok, I know I always ask this, but can you send a video?😂. It always helps.  There potentially a few different answers.  First I would see if I could rock her weight off of the forehand using only one rein at a time and the leg on the same side.  Make sure to use more leg than rein.  She's hiding from the bridle so pulling harder won't help.  Then, after you can rock her weight back, start to ask for one foot to come off the ground at a time.  Then grow from there.  Make sense?

Justin First leg, then if I don't get a reaction I add the spur.

Justin I'm applying pressure to the side that coincides with the rein. It helps them to understand to come back without having to get heavy on the rein.

Jessie Dillon thank you for the kind words!  I like to have a little speed control on them first.  Just light easy forward motion.  I also want to be able to touch them all over with a flag.  Then, I'll put a rope around their heart girth and introduce pressure and gauge their response and sack them out good with a blanket.  Then if all those things go well, I'll go to the cinch rig.  Keep us updated on your progress.🤠

Jessica Walker I'd say no more than 4" from the mouthpiece to the rein ring.
