I joined recently and watched the entire snaffle basics program. I am just getting back into riding again at 60. I rode quite a bit in my late teens/early 20s. I bought a 6 yr old green broke quarter horse gelding last summer and had never ridden with a snaffle bit before. I rode him maybe a dozen times last year not feeling very confident in knowing what I was doing. I decided to educate myself and when winter is over (it’s darn cold right now in North Dakota) I am planning to start working with Gus again, probably starting with basic ground work and moving on from there. Just watching your videos have helped my understanding a lot.
