Phil Mandelbaum Hi Phil, I'm glad to hear that you are having some success with the program!  Generally, horses get behind our legs because they are getting dull to leg pressure. The best way to fix it is to spank them a little to back up your cues.  It shouldn't take much. Next time you ride carry something to pop him with and only ask him to go once and then follow it up with a pop on the rump.  If he slows down in the circles, pop him on the rump.  The more you squeeze and cluck, the slower he'll get.  Make sense?
