Checking in with my 3 yo filly River. On your advice, I went back to the start of Luna's videos to see why River was yanking on her bit around ride 30-35. When I tried the swapping eyes exercise I realized that River hadn't learned about the bit. She was steering and stopping and such from other cues like verbal commands or gestures. She caught on quickly to all of the other cues so she acted like she knew it. She just happened to start to ask questions. I'm going to have to stop talking to her! I see what you mean when you say lots of horses pack around a snaffle without really understanding what it's for. Thanks for the support.
