Englishman trying to ride western!

Happy Belated Birthday Aubrey Isaacson I will take the blame for this Richard Boatwright as it was my last day with you and we were ground driving, I suspect after I left you were that relieved the daft limey had left everything else went out the window!

Hope you had a great day Aubrey

Howdy all, on the back of my recent visit to ride and learn from Richard he helped me work on ground driving in detail and we worked through the process to help me get a handle on effective ground driving, I thank Richard Boatwright for this, I know it is basic stuff but essential for making the horse a success.

It got me thinking what do you want to see in terms of videos and subjects in the library that is not already covered? (It probably is but you’re not found it yet as the library is extensive!)

Suggestions might help Richard for future reference, I know how busy he is but I also know he is passionate about the program and helping as many people as he can and records new content on a daily basis.

Fire away with suggestions

Also mention which series has helped you the most and is your go to currently for help and inspiration/instruction.

For me the Nachees colt starting and also Stardust softening the older horse collection has helped me massively

Haha I think she might confiscate my passport or geld me if I don’t book her ticket first!

Long flight and waiting for final connection but worth it, have a great weekend mate

So tomorrow is my last day in South Carolina before I head back over the pond to Blighty, reflecting on the past week or so spent with Richard Boatwright at the B1 HQ.

What a fantastic trip over again and I can’t thank Richard enough for his time, patience and willingness to explain in detail all aspects of the ES program and share his knowledge on Horsemanship.

I leave more enlightened than when I arrived yet again with a fire inside me to do better for my horses and just be a better person to be honest.

Big thanks to Richard, Lilly and of course Gus who Richard entrusted to me for the duration, I hope I have not ruined him too much!

Watching him rope today made me realise what a great horse he  is when in the right hands and what a poor rider I am!

Aubrey Isaacson So she could have a hidden history of over jealous bit work etc?

certainly as Richard says if the teeth checked out then back to basics and time spent with the bit/bridle without any pressure and use may get her over it, good luck and keep us posted please

Aubrey Isaacson I’m going to ask the obvious here and I’m sure you have already but have you had the teeth/mouth checked by the dentist to rule issues out or has she always disliked the bit?

That has been tried in the UK Richard Boatwright with the show circuit, websites that you can use to book shows and they work but now it’s fragmented as people saw an opportunity to charge silly booking fees and others opened sites and charged less, I’m pretty sure some are now apps also, then there was the ones who charged advertisers and this made providers who had a decent following not bother as they could sell out using their FB page…. There are also FB groups that now purely dedicated to clinics etc

I can ramble on for ages about it all and we can discuss further next week if you want as I have a bit of experience etc

in principle it is a fantastic idea and built correctly with the right advertising and commercial set up I think can be a winner but revenue streams probably need to come from advertising on it or affiliation so the seller and buyer are not put off by listing fees or the booking fees and also completely automated so no time is spent administering it, this is a key point.

Happy Birthday Phil Mandelbaum

Hope you have a great day

Love taking the youngsters to spook busting courses, always great fun to see them overcome fears, also great experience for the handlers.

I help out running them sometimes and always get great satisfaction working with a horse that’s petrified at the start and seeing them leave a totally different animal and that counts for the owners also!Â
