Englishman trying to ride western!
img_2852.jpeg

Whilst I was away today earning money to feed the herd my better half seized the initiative to get the big daft lad back in the round pen working the code and wants to get some ground driving done whilst I am away in the USA with Richard Boatwright so plenty of recaps on the videos I think this weekend coming up!

Makes me so happy as she is a nervous soul around him given his size (17h+) and his young age

What a great post, testimony to the hard work you have put in, the weather looks fantastic, can’t wait to get back trail riding once the mud bath has subsided around us here, even a trip to the beach to take the horses swimming

Lynn Morrison haha love it, I find just exposing them to stuff on a very regular basis helps them, no quick fix for spooks just that reassurance they are not going to die and your the constant in that equation, one of my girls still cat leaps in the air when a pheasant flies up when out hacking, but she doesn’t bolt now, always makes for an entertaining ride!

Brilliant news, well done you!

I’m looking forward to seeing  Ike again in April, last time I saw him was 6 months ago and he was full of himself and a wee lad, reckon he will be a big boy now

Gorgeous spring morning here with the sun shining and the horses out on the grass for a few hours while we muck them out and bed them up, think I’ve worked out who got the better deal!

Hope you’re having fun!
