Wishing yourself and Family, not forgetting Lilly a fantastic Christmas and New Year.

Had to thin the herd down and find new lodgings last month unfortunately but all settled now and looking forward to the light nights and spring 

Michelle Houle The one thing that struck me when I was out training with Richard in the round pen was although I thought my timing was good,it was way behind what Richard observed and he sharpened my timing, less is more as they say, especially with mares as I find  them much less forgiving than geldings and critical of our direction/instruction.

Certainly sounds like past trauma or issues inside or with the mouth, I do remember Richard Boatwright telling me some horses just do not like a bit and if they ride well in a hackamore then just do that!

Richard Boatwright And if it works out then Y’all be coming over to  Scotland probably for a vacation and work some virgin cows and go visit Loch Ness and rope the monster! 

What an opportunity that would be! 

I’ve put a 2-3 year plan in place to purchase a small holding outright so it’s time to snowball expenditure and make it happen, if it takes off Richard Boatwright put us down for a week in 3 years time! 

Lucas Truax unfortunately they sent the wrong size bit over so waiting for a new one to be sent out, if I’m honest I’ve been working an awful lot recently and the horses are still out in pasture enjoying the fall weather, we are literally checking on them daily and giving them a scratch, they have not been in a stall or under sadddle for weeks, they soon will be back in over night and I will get back into the swing of things, I was due to go to a clinic next week but with not riding it would be a waste of time and unfair on the horse so going to sit it out! 

Outstanding idea and commitment Lucas Truax a great way to keep progress, I’m an over thinker and as such keep it all inside my head where I am but maybe writing it down would help me!

Lucas Truax & Richard Boatwright thanks guys, been rough recently but trying to get back in the game, new bit arrived for my old grey today to try and sort the head shakes so I shall get back in the saddle, so lost without the round pen!!
